SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM ALL AT SUNWAY!

Pattaya

1/10

Pattaya

Pattaya is a popular and lively beach resort on the Gulf of Thailand, just a 2 hour drive from Bangkok. Once a quiet coastal fishing town, now a thriving tourist resort with all of the amenities and facilities one would expect from a modern holiday resort. Packed with accommodation, shops, restaurants, bars, markets and a vibrant nightlife, you’re never short of something to do in Pattaya. There are plenty of sporting opportunities both on land and water including golfing, fishing, water sports and scuba-diving. Theme and amusement parks, museums and botanical gardens offer a variety of leisure activities and entertainment. Lining Pattaya’s beaches are shopping centres full of all sorts of goods and bargains. Night time is when the place really comes alive though. Neon signs brightly advertise the pubs and clubs trying to tempt you in. The cabaret shows are a great bit of fun featuring the katoeys or 'ladyboys' as we know them.

There are a few beaches to choose from in Pattaya and many more a few miles down the coast. North Pattaya beach is probably the quietest beach of Pattaya’s main three. Central Pattaya beach is a haven for water sports and the area holds many of the leisure facilities including Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum. South Pattaya takes in the bustling and frenetic Walking Street. Should you want to venture a little further take the boat ride from Pattaya town to one of the nearby islands, Coral or Larm, and you’ll find good beaches for swimming, snorkelling and diving. There are many excursions available and Pattaya is a good base from which to explore more of Thailand.
