Sri Lanka Holidays

Sri Lanka is a warm tropical island located in the Indian Ocean, south of the Indian subcontinent. Known as the Island of Serendipity, Sri Lanka has of miles upon miles of beautiful golden palm fringed beaches, stunning bays, vibrant coral reefs, lush tropical vegetation, magnificent wildlife as well as a deeply rooted cultural and historical heritage.

We are delighted to offer accommodations in a range of locations, including Negombo Beach, the coastal town of Wadduwa, the southern capital of Galle and Bentota Beach, as well as dedicated escorted and private tours such as the Highlights of Sri Lanka.

Buddhism dominates Sri Lanka and you will find temples everywhere with ancient and imposing archaeological ruins in cases dating as far back as the 4th century. Cave paintings and ancient temples are found in some of these amazing sights. With one of the most iconic at Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This ancient city is now a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tale behind the rock makes for a great story too! In fact Sri Lanka boasts a very impressive 8 UNESCO classified World Heritage Sites.

Inland Sri Lanka is covered in stunning, beautiful terraced tea fields famous for growing tea since the British Colonial times! In fact, English is widely spoken on the island making communication on this tropical island that much easier! A visit to a plantation makes for a great excursion. You can learn all about the tea making process and finish the day off with a traditional afternoon tea just like the Raj's did all those years ago!

When it's time to relax it is then back to the coast to soak up the sun on one of the island's many amazing beaches and enjoy the Sri Lankan hospitality. It should be noted that Sri Lankan's enjoy an abundance of holy festivals and public holidays throughout the year where the locals will take to the decoratively adorned streets and flock to the one of the many temples, these days are called Poya days and it should be noted that no alcohol is served on such days.
