Sanur Beach
Located approximately 20 minutes drive from Bali's International Airport, Sanur Beach is located on the south eastern coast of Bali. It is the island’s largest traditional village and was of the first resorts to be developed in Bali.
Being a more mature beachside town, quieter than Kuta and Nusa Dua , it is home to a shallow reef protected beach making Sanur particularly popular with families. The beach is great for snorkelling and all forms of water sports thanks to its calm blue waters and further offshore there are some great diving spots.
Sanur has a good variety of restaurants, shops, bars and cafes (outside of the hotel resorts) with the main hub of activity being around the JI Danau Tamblingan area. The area is easy to get around with relatively quiet streets and a convenient paved beach path which runs for around 5km. The path makes for a lovely scenic bike ride too. It curves past plenty of cafes, souvenir shops and restaurants if you fancy a few pit-stops along the way! Be sure to check out the night markets for some amazing bargains!
Known for its laidback and relaxed atmosphere this former fishing village has managed to maintain most of its original charm and local customs while simultaneously offering many of the services needed in a modern holiday resort. It continues to attract repeat visitors.
