Manhattan

Manhattan

Manhattan is the most famous of the 5 New York boroughs that make up New York along with Brooklyn, Staten Island, The Bronx & Queens. Manhattan itself is divided into 3 sections, Downtown, Midtown and Uptown. Home to Broadway, Wall Street, Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State Building, The Statue of Liberty as well as hundreds of other world famous attractions, it is fair to say Manhattan represents New York City to many.  You can spend a week on this island and still not cover all there is to do and see! And it’s so easy to get around; grab a yellow cab, hop on the subway, take a bus or simply just walk around and look up in amazement at all the high rise buildings. You can even get a horse drawn carriage through central park.

Top Tips:
When is the best time to visit Manhattan? Anytime of course! Each season offers its own reasons. Autumn or ‘the fall’ can offer bright sunny skies and cooler temperatures than the summer months which are quite often hot and humid. Winter boasts the opportunity for Christmas shopping amongst all the merriment and decorations with snow in the later winter months.

With so much to see and do picking and choosing can sometimes prove difficult! We recommend you purchase a New York Explorer Pass in advance, with prices from €68pp you make a great saving and get admission to your choice from a selection of over 50 top attractions Including the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty or a visit to the Ground Zero Museum and learn about an important part of NY history.

Take in a Broadway show, like the Lion King and let Sunway purchase your tickets or if a fan of the TV shows, book a tour in advance and visit the world of the ‘Sopranos’ on a site tour from only €40pp bada bing!
