Join us on an amazing trip to Helsinki and Tallinn, two captivating capitals on the Baltic Sea. Helsinki, the vibrant capital of Finland, is a perfect blend of modern design, innovative architecture, and stunning coastal beauty, with highlights like the UNESCO-listed Suomenlinna Sea Fortress and the lively Market Square. Just a short ferry ride away, Tallinn, the enchanting capital of Estonia, welcomes you with its fairy-tale-like medieval Old Town, cobblestone streets, and historic towers. Together, these cities promise a journey filled with rich culture, breathtaking scenery, and unforgettable experiences.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Travel to Helsinki

We depart Dublin on our direct flight to Helsinki. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our tour leader and local guide before being transferred by coach to our city-centre hotel. We will be based for two nights in a comfortable 4-star hotel, perfectly located to explore the vibrant Finnish capital.

Day 2 - Helsinki & Suomenlinna Fortress Island

Helsinki offers a unique blend of quirky urban charm and tranquil natural beauty, creating a serene yet dynamic atmosphere. Our day begins with a city sightseeing tour by bus, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Sibelius Monument, the stunning Rock Church (with entrance), and the historic Senate Square. We then take a ferry to the UNESCO-listed Suomenlinna Fortress Island, where a guided walking tour unveils its fascinating history. Enjoy some free time to explore the island at your own pace before returning by ferry to the bustling Market Square and strolling back to our hotel.

Day 3 - Old Porvoo - Ferry to Tallinn

Today we step back in time with a visit to Old Porvoo, a historical gem and one of Finland's most treasured architectural sites. Stroll through its charming cobblestone streets and admire the well-preserved medieval wooden houses. After a city sightseeing tour by bus, we continue our journey with a scenic ferry ride across the Gulf of Finland to Tallinn, Estonia’s captivating capital.
Upon arrival in Tallinn, we will be transferred by coach to our hotel, where we will be based for the next four nights. This gives us plenty of time to explore the enchanting Estonian capital, known for its medieval charm, vibrant culture, and rich history.

Day 4 - Tour of Tallinn & Medieval Dinner

Discover the enchanting Tallinn Old Town on a guided two-hour tour with an English-speaking guide. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this medieval treasure is renowned for its cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. Beyond its historical significance, the Old Town continues to thrive as a hub of cultural events and lively activity. Following the tour, we will return to the hotel and later transfer to a local Medieval styled restaurant for dinner.

Day 5 - Day at Leisure

Today is yours to enjoy a free day exploring the charming city of Tallinn at your own pace.

Day 6 - Tartu

Today, we depart for Tartu, Estonia’s second-largest city and the oldest in the Baltic States, dating back to 1030. Upon arrival, a guided city tour will introduce us to Tartu’s rich history, vibrant culture, and academic heritage, making it a fascinating destination to explore.
You will have some free time to explore Tartu before we make our way back to Tallinn.
