This holiday is graded as a challenging cycling holiday. We would recommend you be a regular, confident cyclist accustomed to cycling longer distances and steeper inclines and declines to enjoy this more demanding level of holiday. Rides range from 60km- 104km with climbs between 1000m-2400m.

Itinerary


Day 1 – Travel to Mallorca

Embark on our cycling adventure to the beautiful island of Mallorca! Fly directly from Dublin to Palma, Mallorca and then travel to our hotel in Port de Soller. This picturesque village on Mallorca’s west coast is a gem, with its traditional white fishing boats, inviting bars, and restaurants lining a beautiful sandy beach. It’s an ideal base for our cycling holiday, offering both vibrant local culture and peaceful seaside charm.

After checking into our hotel, we will have some free time to settle in and fine-tune our gear. In the evening, we’ll meet with our expert local cycling guide to review the exciting routes for the next few days and get our bikes set up for the adventures that await.

Day 2 – Climb to Valldemossa & Deia along the Coll de Soller

We’ll kick off our cycling holiday in Mallorca with an invigorating ride featuring climbs to the picturesque towns of Valldemossa and Deià—perfect for warming up and getting your legs in gear. Our journey begins in Soller as we head out through the classic Coll de Soller, a route known for its scenic, twisting bends and a few challenging hairpin turns that reward us with stunning views at every turn.

Once we reach Valldemossa, take some time to explore and enjoy lunch amidst the charming atmosphere of this historic town. From there, we continue to Deia, following a route that offers unparalleled panoramic sea views, stretching over rugged cliffs and the vibrant blue expanse of the Mediterranean. We’ll pause for a break to take in the beauty of this celebrated spot, known for its picturesque cliff views before a thrilling descent back to Soller.

Day 3 – Cycle Through Rural Mallorca & Conquer Puig Major

Prepare for an unforgettable day as we take on one of Mallorca’s most challenging climbs: Puig Major Setting off from Soller, we’ll cycle through the scenic Col de Soller, navigating picturesque rural backroads until we reach the charming village of Alaro, where we’ll pause for a well-deserved coffee. Our route continues along the foothills of the majestic Serra de Tramuntana Mountain range, leading us to Caimari where we’ll fuel up with lunch for the demanding climb ahead.
From Caimari the real challenge begins as we tackle the Col de la Batalla with sweeping switchbacks & pine woodlands. The final challenge awaits with a climb to the summit of Puig Major. Along the way, we’ll pass close to two breathtaking mountain lakes, a rare sight that makes this journey even more remarkable. Once at the top, take a moment to soak in the panoramic views of Mallorca’s highest peak before embarking on a thrilling, scenic descent back to Soller.

Day 4 – Puig Major, Sa Calobra & cycle to Cap Formentor lighthouse

Today, we revisit the breathtaking ascent of Puig Major, this time retracing our path along its open, panoramic switchbacks. Congratulations—you’ve conquered the longest climb on the island! From here, we descend the legendary Sa Calobra, an exhilarating route with endless hairpin turns spiralling down to the coast. The descent alone is spectacular, with sweeping vistas of Mallorca’s raw, natural beauty at every turn.

Once we reach the coastal beach of Sa Calobra, there’s only one way out—by climbing back up! We’ll power our way to the top and break for lunch in Lluc. From Lluc, enjoy an epic 50 km ride that’s largely downhill as we head to the iconic Cap Formentor lighthouse, a renowned cycling landmark perched at the island’s northernmost point. Consistently ranked among the top 20 cycling routes globally, this ride offers some of Mallorca’s most stunning scenery. At Cap Formentor, celebrate your achievement with a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters before we drive back to Sóller.

Day 5 - Return Home

Today is our last day of our exhilarating cycling holiday in Mallorca. We will be transferred to the airport for our return flight home, carrying back unforgettable memories of scenic climbs, coastal descents, and the vibrant spirit of Mallorca.
