Our unforgettable cycling adventure to Mallorca begins today. Fly from Dublin to Palma airport and then travel to our hotel in Port de Pollenca, a cyclist’s paradise on Mallorca’s north coast. This charming resort town is not only a gateway to the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range but also a hub for cyclists drawn to its stunning natural scenery and cycling-friendly atmosphere.
After checking in and settling into our comfortable accommodation, we’ll meet our expert local cycling guides in the afternoon. They’ll introduce us to the exciting routes planned for the days ahead and assist in setting up our bikes to ensure everything is ready for our adventure.
Day 2 - Cap Formentor lighthouse
Time to warm up our legs with a trip out to the Cap Formentor lighthouse. Widely regarded as a must-do for cyclists, this route offers a thrilling mix of challenging climbs, hairpin turns, and jaw-dropping scenery.
This route follows a simple, winding road that climbs from Puerto de Pollensa towards the end of the Serra de Tramuntana Mountain range to the dramatic northernmost point of the island. Regularly ranked in the top 20 cycling routes in the world, the scenery alone is some of Mallorca’s most spectacular. The initial climb includes several steep hairpin bends leading to the Es Colomer lookout, where we can pause to soak in panoramic views. The ride then continues through fragrant pine forests and rugged peaks before reaching the Formentor lighthouse. Here, we’ll be rewarded with sweeping vistas of the Mediterranean and the island’s rugged coastline. The descent back to Puerto de Pollensa takes you past several stunning beaches, so pack a light towel and swimming gear if you fancy a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters.
Distance approx. 50km// Ascent approx.: 800m
The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish. Stroll along the picturesque Pine Walk, named for the towering pine trees lining the coastal path, or relax with a drink in one of the charming town squares. Port de Pollenca offers the perfect setting to unwind after your ride.
Day 3 – Sa Colabra & Serra de Tramuntana Mountain range
Get ready for one of the most iconic cycling experiences Mallorca has to offer: the legendary Sa Calobra climb. This bucket-list route draws cyclists from around the globe, and today, it’s our turn to conquer it.
We will leave Port de Pollensa and tackle the ascent to the picturesque town of Lluc, an ideal first pit stop where you can recharge with a coffee at one of its charming cafés. From Lluc we continue to the Sa Colabra junction. Prepare for a thrilling descent through 26 hairpin turns, where breathtaking coastal views accompany you every step of the way down to the serene cove of Sa Calobra.
After a brief rest, it’s time to face the ultimate challenge: the climb back up. This ascent is a test of strength and stamina, but the sense of accomplishment at the top makes it all worthwhile. The adventure doesn’t end there, as we continue cycling through the Serra de Tramuntana Mountain range, passing charming rural villages like Crestatx before looping back to Port de Pollenca.

You will have the rest of the evening at leisure to unwind after a challenging but rewarding day on the saddle.

Our journey culminates in Valldemossa, a hilltop gem known for its car-free cobbled streets, cultural heritage, and peaceful ambiance.
