Situated on the southeast coast of the island, Kamari is just a few kilometres from Fira and the airport. Although it retains much of its old-world charm it has a modern infrastructure and amenities to make your stay as enjoyable as can be. The long promenade with its plethora of tavernas, restaurants and bars is a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon or evening. Kamari also boasts a blue flag beach. It lies at the foot of Mesa Vouno mountain next to crystal clear waters. There's plenty of space and it's always well cared for. The archaeological site of Thera atop Mesa Vouno is a must-see
