Vaticano Area

Rome, Italy

The area of Rome known as The Vatican is the world's smallest state. It became independent in 1929, has a population of 1000 people and an area of 44 hectares. And yet it is also one of the most visited places on the planet. To see The Vatican is to immerse yourself in the history of Christianity and of Europe.

There is so much to see in such a small area: The Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, St. Peter's Square, and the several Vatican museums. There's also The Castel Sant Angelo and sculptures by Bernini and others. It is no wonder that the Vatican is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Transfer from Rome airport approx. 50 mins.
