S'Algar

Menorca, Balearic Islands

1/1

S'Algar

Menorca, Balearic Islands

S'Algar is a small resort in the south east of the island. It would suit holidaymakers looking for a relaxing holiday. Yet it will also appeal to lovers of water sports and specifically diving as it has its own dedicated diving centre. Here you can learn how to dive and hire your own diving guides to show you the underwater caves nearby.

There isn't much in the way of shopping in S'Algar but Mahon is only 10km away and easily reached by bus. There is a small supermarket in the square and a larger one in nearby Sant Lluis, again easily accessible by bus.

While S'Algar has no beach of its own it does have sunbathing platforms and access to the sea for swimming. There is a courtesy bus that runs from the resort to the large beach nearby at Punta Prima.

S'Algar is an excellent base for exploring the island but it is definitely more suited to those seeking peace and quiet of water sports.

Transfer time from Mahon Airport approx. 20 mins.
