Gozo

Malta

Gozo in Castilian means; 'Joy'. The Castilians knew what they were talking about. This beguiling island is only 25 minutes by ferry from Malta and yet its character is quite, quite different. Compared to its big sister, Gozo is far more tranquil and serene. The pace of life here is slower, more relaxed.

Gozitians are welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to make visitors feel at home. The main town is Victoria, also known as Rabat. All roads on the island lead here. It's a wonderful place to soak up the atmosphere of the bustling market and shops in a joyful, unhurried atmosphere. The town has plenty of restaurants to entice any palate. Of course, there is local cuisine but also international menus too.

Apart from the breathtaking scenery, the true beauty of Gozo is found in its villages. These oases of tranquillity are treasures to be discovered and experienced. A stay in one of the villages allows a respite from the all-too-fast pace of modern life. Here you will feel calm and safe and welcome. And Joy.

Transfer from Malta International Airport approx. 1 hour 30 mins.
