San Agustin

Gran Canaria, Canaries

1/11

San Agustin

Gran Canaria, Canaries

San Agustin is considered as the smaller and quieter neighbour of Playa Del Ingles and Maspalomas while having all the necessary ingredients itself to make for a great holiday. It was the first tourist resort to be established on Gran Canaria and is the nearest to the capital Las Palmas. Once a small fishing village it now offers holiday makers a lovely beach, promenade, fine restaurants and the opportunity to enjoy a peaceful holiday.

It is particularly popular with families and couples. San Agustin has a long naturally dark sandy beach that shelves gently making it a great spot for swimming, snorkelling, water sports and diving. You can relax and unwind here and the hustle and bustle of Playa Del Ingles is only 2km away should you fancy it. The seafront promenade runs all the way to the sand dunes of Maspalomas beach. Along the promenade you will find some great seafood restaurants as well as bars, cafes and shops. If you fancy a flutter on the tables there is a casino also.

Plenty of day trip opportunities are available from San Agustin including the family favourite Palmitos Park, the wild west adventures at Sioux City are only a short drive away, waterparks including Aqualand and Taurito water park and great shopping in the nearby boutiques of the capital Las Palmas. Buses run to this resort so it's easy to get out and about.

Transfer from Las Palmas airport approx. 20 minutes.
