Kommeno is not a typical village. It is a very green peninsula on the east coast of Corfu Island, located in the bay of Gouvia opposite its marina. Roughly, Kommeno includes the seashore between Gouvia and Dassia, as part of it looks to the south end the other part to the north.

Kommeno is full of scattered hotels and private villas, hidden among the greenery which resembles a thick forest. Here are some of the most luxurious villas and hotels on the island with private beaches available only to their guests. The great sea and sunrise view is offered by most of the accommodation options, as they are either beachfront or built amphitheatrically above the sea. A couple of tavernas are available but for the greater choice, you should go to the nearby Gouvia and Dassia where there are also bakeries, cafes and supermarkets.

Kommeno Bay is ideal for those looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Couples looking to get away will find a romantic atmosphere in Kommeno. The south side of Kommeno is known as Limmni and there is the Ipapandi Church, a mini copy of the famous Vlacherna Monastery.
