In the less frenetic daylight hours, there are two great beaches to choose from
● Eastern Beach and Cleopatra Beach. You'll find Cleopatra more suitable for families. The waterfront is great for shopping, dining, and people-watching while the town itself is a charming mix of top-end shops and artisan stalls. You should take the time also to walk up to Alanya's fortress with its 140 towers including the 5 storey Red Tower.

About an hour from the harbour is the wonderful Roman city of Side
● well worth a visit. It's dotted with Roman and Greek ruins which gives the town a magical air. There's also a fabulous beach if you're going to spend the day.
